So excited to bring you a Sunflowers and Sunshine Virtual Class! Since we can’t meet in person, this is the next best thing! I have found myself sending tons of cards to my friends and loved ones lately. Who doesn’t love receiving a handmade greeting card?

Your class kit will include supplies to make four cards, including pre-cut patterned paper from the Flowers for Every Season DSP, cardstock from the In-Color Collections, matching stamped and die-cut images, embellishments, and the PDF tutorials for all four cards. You will also get access to a private Facebook group, where we can share tips, tricks, inspiration and we can celebrate your success! All you need to supply is the adhesives (I am happy to share with you what I use!)
Class Fee is $25 and includes postage (US Only). If you want to add any of the products we are using to your collection before, during or after the class, just let me know and I will provide you with a supply list!

I was asked to make a card for a co-worker who lost her beloved pet yesterday. I wanted To make something soft and elegant, so my mind immediately went to the monochromatic sunflower card I made a few weeks ago. Essentially, I changed the primary color, placement of the images, and the sentiments. This card whipped up a lot faster since I already knew what I wanted to do.
For this card, I started with a Whisper White base and added a layer of Pool Party. I embossed a Whisper White Layer with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder and sponged it with Pool Party Ink.
I cut out a Whisper White sunflower base, one sunflower outline in Pool Party and two outlines in Whisper White. I sponged the sunflower base with Pool Party and glued the outlines together (Pool Party on the bottom), with the Pool Party slightly offset to give it a 3-D look. I added the foliage cut from the dies in a combination of Pool Party, Whisper White and Vellum Cardstock. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out using a die from Tasteful Labels, sponging the label lightly, and added a bow made from the Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon.
For the inside panel, I stamped the sentiment, wrapped a piece of the Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon around the panel and attached it to my card base. I stamped the sunflower image, die-cut it and attached it to the corner. I then stamped the sunflower in the corner of the envelope to tie it all together.

I love the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle so much! It may be my favorite bundle in the catalog! For this card, I paired it with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. I am so happy with the outcome.
I used a sponge dauber to apply ink to my embossed background, to the solid sunflower image, some of the foliage, and the tag. I also applied ink with the dauber to my seam binding. I layered two Whisper White sunflower outlines on top of one Mint Macaron sunflower outline, with the Mint Macaron layer slightly (just barely) offset to add a bit of depth. I also cut some of the foliage out of Vellum Cardstock.
As always, thanks for visiting! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out! If you need to order any of the supplies used in this card, just click the Add to Cart button and “Voila!’
Yesterday, I stumbled upon this really cool group of Australian SU demonstrators – The Dimensionals. Every month they publish a set of tutorials for 3-D projects and when you purchase the tutorials, you also receive access to their Facebook group. This morning, they sent out a challenge to make a Z-Fold Card. The tutorial used the Perfect Peony set, which I don’t have yet, so I used the new Celebrate Sunflowers set and I am ridiculously happy with how it turned out! The tutorial was very easy to follow, and in not too terribly much time, I had this beautiful card to share!
