Today, I got the opportunity to create with some of the new goodies from the August – December Mini Catalog. I made a simple A2 Thank You card for a customer and I love it!
I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and the coordinating Plaid Tidings DSP. I used retired white grosgrain ribbon to separate them. I cut the tag for my sentiment with the Celebration Labels Dies and the sentiment is from Peaceful Moments.
On the inside of the card and on the envelope, I stamped a flourish and sentiment from the new Celebration Tidings stamps.

I love the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle so much! It may be my favorite bundle in the catalog! For this card, I paired it with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder. I am so happy with the outcome.
I used a sponge dauber to apply ink to my embossed background, to the solid sunflower image, some of the foliage, and the tag. I also applied ink with the dauber to my seam binding. I layered two Whisper White sunflower outlines on top of one Mint Macaron sunflower outline, with the Mint Macaron layer slightly (just barely) offset to add a bit of depth. I also cut some of the foliage out of Vellum Cardstock.

Today, I saw a card made by Dorothee Coudroy and I HAD to attempt it. I just couldn’t believe that there was actually water in the card. She has a tutorial on her YouTube channel, so I decided to check it out. Unfortunately for me, the tutorial was 100% in French, and while I could understand about 1 in 10 words (my French is BEYOND rusty}, the tutorial was so well done that I was able to grasp the basic construction concept. I am so thrilled with the results!
I changed a few things from Dorothee’s card, but kept it pretty close to see if I could make it work. I honestly didn’t expect to have such great success right out of the gate!

Here is another card I created using the Tasteful Touches Bundle. This time, I changed the color palette just slightly, and used a different combination of stamps. I fussy cut the flower, and layered it over the stamps in the background. I have to admit that I despise fussy cutting, but this set is really easy to cut.

I may be a little obsessed with this color combination! I was dying to try out the Tasteful Touches set, and wanted something simple, yet beautiful. A dear friend lost her long, courageous battle with cancer last week, so this made the perfect sympathy card for the family.
All of the materials (except the twine, which has been retired) used can be found on my website.
Stamps: Tasteful Touches, Peaceful Moments
Dies: Painted Labels
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Memento – Tuxedo Black

Because this card was so simple and whipped up in no time flat, I simply changed the sentiment and had a sweet card that I can send to a friend to say “Hi!”

I loved making the Z-Fold Card for the challenge at The Dimensionals yesterday so much that I had to try another, this time using the Painted Poppies Bundle. Again, I am over the moon with the results and I can’t believe that I have never done this before!

I was not fortunate enough to get the DSP that came in the suite before it retired, so I made my own using the stamps in the bundle and I am happy with how it turned out, especially because I have white space to write a message.
Once again, I used a dauber on the die cut flower pieces with the matching ink in order to add a little depth.

Yesterday, I stumbled upon this really cool group of Australian SU demonstrators – The Dimensionals. Every month they publish a set of tutorials for 3-D projects and when you purchase the tutorials, you also receive access to their Facebook group. This morning, they sent out a challenge to make a Z-Fold Card. The tutorial used the Perfect Peony set, which I don’t have yet, so I used the new Celebrate Sunflowers set and I am ridiculously happy with how it turned out! The tutorial was very easy to follow, and in not too terribly much time, I had this beautiful card to share!
Here is another card made using the Whale of A Time Suite. This time, I decided to try a shaker card. It didn’t turn out quite as I had hoped, but all in all I am happy with it. I decided to color my seam binding using my ink pad and was too impatient to let it dry… I ended up with a smudge on my card, so I used a dauber to add ink to the embossed image.
Stamps: Whale Done
Dies: Snow Globe Scenes, Tasteful Labels
Card stock; Pool Party, Whisper White
Ink: BlackBerry Bliss, Gray Granite
Misc: Whale of A Time DSP, Whale Punch, White Seam Binding, Whale of A Time Sequins, Snow Globe Shaker Dome, Seabed Embossing Folder
